Our veterinarians monitor the health and welfare of the fish from roe to slaughter, with thorough health checks and sound advice.

Prescribing Veterinary Services

• Provision of veterinary prescriptions
• Annual review of veterinary health plans
• Routine visits (minimum annual, maximum monthly)
• Pre-transfer examinations of smolt

Consultancy

• Investigative or second opinion visits for salmon producers or other value-chain stakeholders
• Desk-based consultancy e.g. risk assessments

Export certification

• Government-licensed official veterinarians (“OVs”) responsible for export certification of fish or fish products outside the UK

Veterinary Animal Health Attestations (VAHAs)

• Veterinary examination of populations pre-harvest to attest health status for export to EU (post-Brexit requirement)

Training

• Online training course recognised by RSPCA Classroom or field based training course portfolio
